Summer 2026
Finding space to reflect this Summer. Summer often invites us to slow down, to get out of the regularly scheduled programming, and to connect with nature, friends and loved ones. Despite our intentions, many of us are still carrying the pace of our lives with us; our responsbilities, our stress, our automatic reactions.
At Our Mirrored Minds, I believe reflection is one of the most powerful tools we have for creating meaningful change. When we become aware of our thoughts, emotions, and patterns, we create space to respond intentionally rather than than react automatically. Listening to our minds, hearts and bodies is essential to learn about our patterns, and interupt the ones that get in the way of our growth. This is something that I (try to) take the time to do throughout every day.
Sometimes when I first wake up, noticing how my body responds. Was my sleep restorative? Do I notice any sensations, thoughts, emotions that need a little extra care this morning? What will help me to wake up and be present?
Sometimes later in the day, noticing when I need a break. Taking the time to hydrate, nourishing the body and soul through food, connecting with others, or exercising.
Sometimes in the evening. Engaging my wind down routine. Practicing some meditation. Disconnecting from the constant, ever present screens (or "rectangles" as my younger cousin refers to them) and connecting instead with my loved ones.
This season, I invite you to take some time to reflect, and ask yourself:
- What has been giving me energy?
- What has been draining me?
- Where am I living in alignment with my values?
- Where am I simply operating on autopilot?
Awareness is about releasing judgement of ourselves, and noticing. Every moment of awareness creates another opportunity to choose differently.
What's New
This Summer has been filled with exciting opportunities to bring mindfulness and professional development into new spaces. Recent trainings have included workshops with healthcare professionals, educators, and community organizations focused on topics such as:
- Mindfulness in everyday life
- Communication and emotional intelligence
- Supporting today's workforce across generations
- ADHD, CBT, DBT and other practical clinical practices
- Creating healthier workplace cultures
Every training reinforces something I continue to see. That people thrive when they feel seen, understood, and equipped with practical tools.
Looking Ahead
I'm continuing to expand offerings through Our Mirrored Minds, including:
- Individual therapy and coaching
- Mindfulness-based groups
- Professional Trainings
- Clinical Supervision and Consultation
Whether you are looking to grow personally or explore professional goals for you and your team, my goal is always to the same: helping people become more aware, more intentional, and more connected.
A Summer Reflection
Before the season slips away, find some time to take a couple minutes of reflection.
Bring awareness to the act of breathing. This beautiful breath that fuels life.
Scan your body, your emotions, your thoughts for all that is here.
Notice one thing that you appreciate about yourself today.
Give gratitude to yourself, your body, your mind and emotions, your resilience and strength.
Thank you for being part of the Our Mirrored Minds community.
